Tomtom One freezes while booting

Postby Hamish » Thu Dec 16, 2010 10:17 pm

OK, I have GO910, Europe 860.3102, BL 5.5229, Navcore 9.205.547817. Just downloaded W&CE 3101, installed, patched with latest Albert's EA6, disconnected, changed maps, on TT, using 'switch maps'. All OK. Connected to TTHome, got Mapshare updates and copied my 'personal' POIs (camp sites, Indian restaurants, speed cameras...), disconnected, got reboot problem. Reconnected - TTHome wanted to download an 'important' Application (6.525), see [Please Register or Login to download file] for info. I didn't d/l it, but did delete mapsettings.cfg from the W&CE folder and all OK again.

Glad you resolved your problem, but I don't see the connection with this thread.

Is it possible that some files in the installer are corrupt?
Maybe it is worth downloading the map in the normal form and activate it or has this particular installer been tested by someone else?
I'm a bit confused to see that some files are extracted before the error comes, for me that sounds like problems inside the archive/installer.

Both the map with and without installer resulted in te same problem.

Meanwhile, i've downloaded the map Europe Central 1 GB (860.3126) again, this time from another place on the web and everything is fine.
The problem is solved for me.

If somebody must be informed about the corrupt map, please tell me.
It can hopefully prevent others to get troubles with the file.
