TomTom One 30 Bootloader A01.0100

Thu Jan 12, 2012 2:26 pm

Hello everybody,

I have an TomTom One 30 with bootloader A01.0100. I don't know that bootaloader is a especial version for defect TomTom One devices. I formatted the internal disk (this tomtom have only 1Gb internal disk, no sdcard) and uploaded navcore version 9. But no lucky, the tomtom restarts every time i switch it on. I tried TTHome to downgrade back to navcore version 8.041. Installation with success but when i switch it on he restarts on loading the progress bar.

It's there any chance to rescue this device??

Thanks in advance,
Rui Silva

I have never seen or heard of a bootloader A01.0100. Could you mean 1.0100?? If so, go here: [color=red]Bootloader 1.0100 and 1.0200[/color] Did your unit have navcore 8.041 installed?

You have to download the 8.041 using Home to get the device going again.
There is no other Navcore your device can work with.
Since you botloader was blocked from installing the TT should be fine after the update.
Once working use this pre-patched file to be able to use our maps.
3702 - unpack to the root of your device conform overwrite.
After that you can use our maps and Fast/AutoActivate for the map activation.
Keep in mind to select a map that matches your Navcore.

Or download: [Please Register or Login to download file]

Since 8.041 isn't on the Compatibility Chart, he needs to select a 3811, 3823, 3841, 3866, 3867 or 3868 map.

Did you happen to notice the 8.041.cab link in post 5? Did you load 1 of the map versions listed in post 5?

I have already 8.041.cab here. But i don't have any map loaded because the device don´t start normally.

The device don´t start normally, because you don't have any map loaded!!!

Instead of posting something like "because the device don´t start normally." would help us much more to post the actual error message from the device.
If there is no error message try to describe the behavior as acurate as possible.

I have tried with this map: Europe 1GB West 880.3868 but the tomtom keeps restarting on startup.

Found Solution:

1º Low level formatting -> [Please Register or Login to download file]

2º Switch off TomTom and switch it on back

3º Formatting TomTom with FAT32 on Windows

4º DON'T SWITCH OFF AND DON'T DISCONNECT USB CABLE

5º Upload navcore 8.041 -> [Please Register or Login to download file]

6º Delete this two files: pndnavigator and system

7º Download patched pndnavigator and upload to TomTom -> [Please Register or Login to download file]

8º Download special system file modify by raskitu and uploaded it -> [Please Register or Login to download file]

9º Restart TomTom and your device is back :yahoo:

Thanx for the update. Navitotal does not support downloads from other sources. Our assistance is terminated & this thread is closed.

That is anything but a solution
[size=85]1. and 3. are completely useless and in fact more damaging to a flash memory than copying and deleting files thausands of times
You only format a flash memory if there is a filesystem error or for some weird reason you must change the filesystem
All files needed can be found in the forum and we generally give no support for files found elsewhere.
Raskitu is to me totally unknown and I can assure he has not modified a system file for TT as the only working patched 8.041 was provided by TTUSER

Post 4 and 5 already had all files needed and a look into the tutorials before the startwould have shown that the 8.041 is not a normal Navcore.
Same goes for starting/rebooting problem tipps - all in one section.
