Connect your ONE to your computer. Run TT Home Update my device. Home should install the current navcore 8.010. Next step: Run TT Home Add Maps. Hopefully your map is stored on your computer and can be installed.

ALL you have to do is follow the instructions in post 2 above. If you don' have TomTom Home on your computer, download it here. [Please Register or Login to download file]

Salut,
Check the link (Navcore 8): http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?942-Navcore-V8&mode=hybrid
I succeded to install version "Navcore 8.414.1239 Courtesy of TTUser"
Download all 3 links and unzip them on your computer, afte that:

a) Copy files from "SE_Navcore.8.414.1239.Basicpack" to your root SD card
b) Copy files from " 8.414.one2009_plus.CAB-navcore-ONE.cab " to your root SD card, press YES to overwrite the existing files
c) Copy files from " SE_ttsystem.8414.1239" to your root SD card, press YES to overwrite the existing files

Go to download "Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB_850_2834" map (on my device TomTom One 4N00.004.2 works well) or new map, copy to your SD card, activate in case needed.

Enjoy

Your procedure is wrong & your map is 2 editions out of date.

These steps are the same but for diffrent versions of tomtom devices A is for 32mb ram and B is for 64 mb ram devices ;) also my reccomendation for a one v3 is 8.410 but you use whatever you like and what works for you. ;)

I know my map is a little bit older (June 2010), the new one (v8960.3102) is in progress :)
I didn't know A is for 32 MB and B is for 64 MB, I though there are some new options.
Even like that my TomTomOne show me 6.1 MB free memory out of 32 MB :chok_mini:

For clarification, there are 2 files/folders (Outsourced & switchedfiles.zip) that help 32MB devices run the navcore a bit smoother. The basicpack.rar & ttsystem.rar contain these 2 files/folders. Since 64MB devices don't need them, you use the .cab & ttsystem.rar downloads.
