tomtom non TTS XL IQ Routes Edition computer voice

Sat Nov 10, 2012 12:26 pm

Hi there, I have a TomTom XL IQ Routes Edition 340 - 2GB: 4EM0.001.01 with 64mb ram and no sd card, (It is the the non-TTS XL IQ Routes / 340 - 2GB version) so tts is dissabled ...

I am running 9465 navcore and 900.4602 uk & ri maps works well but TTS is dissabled...would still like to get kate
Loquendo voice working on it

I have tried a few different se and dsa navcores including downunder's 9.485 with hardwired sound navcore but can not get loquendo to work on it, a bit anoying as the xl iq routes has 64mb ram so thought it would be possible to get computer voice working somehow
would still like to get kate Loquendo voice working on it...

any links to a working TTS backup from an XL IQ Routes Edition 64mb ram? PS it is not an XL IQ Routes2 version

any help appreciated...cheers

Check the Navcore section for my 9.485 thread.
Take the version with hard wired sound (HS) and should get working computer voices.

No TTS

I am now running 9.465 navcore and 900.4602 uk&ri maps works well but would still like to get kate loquendo voice working on it...

Did you change to a different Emulation? - X30 would be a good one to test first....
Are the computer voices correctly installed?
If you leave the HS versions in the installed emulation it will work as no emu.
Meaning that if your TT does not have TTS by default you won't have it in "self" emulation ;)

Confirm that you have Vocalizer computer voices in a folder named VocalizerTTS or Loquendo computer voices in a folder named LoquendoTTS.

yes I have english kate in LoquendoTTS folder...and funny thing is when I connect to tomtom home and do manage my device and look in the voices folder English (United Kingdom) v700 - Kate is there and it is not marked in red to say you can't use it on this device..
just wondered should I apply the DMpatch to loquendo folder?

Unzip & overwrite your "LoquendoTTS" folder with this attachment.

You can try the patch, as until someone finds definately what is causing this silence we are not able offer a solution that would work out of the box on all devices.
