TomTom Home screen question

Postby rugglesxzx » Sun Mar 30, 2014 9:46 am

Hi

Just a minor question about when I connect my TomTom Rider 2 to my PC and bring up TomTom's Home software. When the Update window opens up and lists the GPS Quick Fix and Map Share updates (both ticked) there is also an unticked option to download and install the original map (850.2782) that came with the Sat Nav. I am running NavCore 7.901 and map 925.5409 and this works fine - TomTom Home acknowledges this map is installed and says it is up to date. I always use the latest version of FastActivate when installing maps etc.

Where does it get the 850.2782 info from when the map isn't even on the SD card?

C:\Users\UsersName\Documents\TomTom\HOME\Download\complete\complete\map

Many thanks for the quick reply, that makes sense. I have a \TomTom\HOME\Download\complete\map folder but it's empty (with view hidden files ticked). Odd?

When you open the first "complete" folder, you should see a second "complete" folder.

Very odd, there's no second 'complete' folder.

Start TT Home (your device doesn't have to be connected). Go to page 2, Manage my device, Remove items from computer tab. Is the 850 map listed under item 2: maps?

Very odd, there's no 'Maps' listed, only Applications, Safety Cameras, Postcodes, Quick GPS Fix Data and Phone Connection Settings

There won't be, unless there is a map to list.

True, but I'm still confused as to why the old map shows up in TomTom Home Update.
