Tomtom Home question

Postby sverige » Fri Feb 11, 2022 6:37 pm

Hi

A friend of my have a GO750Live with old navcore and maps (835) on the 750.
I put a navcore from here on a micro SD card with the 1080 Benelux map and that works fine so I gave it back to her but 2 days later she call me to tell me that it stop working
Tomtom startup with the old navcore with the old 835 map but not the 1080 map.
I know she works with Tomtom Home2 and my question is can Tomtom Home2 damage the navcore and/or maps ?

It should boot with the new navcore/map on the SD card if it was in when the device was switched on as otherwise it would boot from the old internal stuff

I expect if you connect it to Home it automaticly update to the latest
navcore for the 750 and that navcore is not been patched.
So you have to patched the navcore and everything should
work.
There is a way to prepair Home that it update not automaticly.
You can find it somewhere on the forum.
The best way is to stay away from Home exept if you know
what you are doing.
