TomTom GO715 Rebooting!

There is no 7.903 for the 715 but you can try those if you really have to use an old V7 Navcore:

Here you can find a 8.414 Navcore that should work fine on your device.
Or you could try the 9.205 from here.

Yes. Look at the chart in post 1 of the map threads.

From what I see, it SHOULD work with 7.903 according to the chart. BUT I note that the meta that is shown with this map on the maps list in post #1 is NOT for 875_3675, it is for 875_3613 - this may be why it doesn't work. You should check this with Popeye.

As for swapping maps around on diff cards - as long as you are sure that you have a patched 7.903 navcore with a compatible (and patched) map on each installation, they should work. Just be sure that each card is fully patched/activated.

The 715 is a real oddball that does not behave in the same way as other GO's where internal (RAM) memory allocation is concerned and hence results cannot be as easily predicted. If you find a working combination - stick with it. If you experiment - be ready to get some surprises and a lot of disappointments. Most 715's seem to end up as bricks.

If you use the ttsystem/PNDNavigator file from the original than you can be sure it is not patched.
Once you got an ok message from the patcher is should be patched.
If a .meta.dct file is present in the map folder than the map is activated.

The GO 715 is a work unit. You might do better with a work navcore. 9.702 is current.

Season's Greetings!
I saw the post concerning a GO715 and it brought back a few bad memories... I tried updating a couple of those a few years ago (check out my posts) and never did succeed. Gave up and donated them to a charity store! Nasty little devices.

Happy Holidays!
