My device is a TomTom XL IQ Routes Europe Edition (64 mega ram i guess) with 2 G internal memory and no card slot (unless i can get a way to connect one to the TT :-) )

OK, if it had a card, I was going to suggest putting a copy of your map on it with a different fuel choice.

could be a good idea tendriver...
Anyway it sounds a bit weird cant have more than 1 price. I drice a diesel car while in word and an unleaded fuel car (my own), and each time i change one to the other need to log into the pc and change the file in my TT...

A little more weird, since it seems to me that it only happens with patched systems... dont understand why's that

I don't have an answer for you. For the price you paid for the patched version, you can't complain too much.

I wasn't insinuating that you were complaining. That is a US expression. If you find the answer, please share it with the Navitotal TT Team.

Ah, ok. thanks

Meanwhile im having a problem here.

While updating the file (diesel), cant delete nor substitute the old file. Disconected from pc, rebooted TT, stills the same.

Deleted all files regarding to fuel (ov2, ov2.ver, bmp etc) and the .pfp and thei'r gone, but whem copy the new ones, the old .fpf appears again and says cant copy or substitute. It shows as zero byte now...

When trying to change name (.fpf to txt or fuelpriceEU to fuelpriceEU1) it gives an error message that will try to translate:
"unnespected error is not allowing tou change the name of the file. If you still geting this error you can use the error code to get help and fix the problem.
Error 0x80070570; The file or folder is damaged or unreadable"

Update

Guess i could fix it. Here's the way i did it (maybe it will be helfull for someone)

Connected TT to my other PC (desktop). No TT stuff installed there (no TomTom Home, nothing of TT)
Oppened TT as if a Pen, looked for the file (FuelPricesEU.fpf)
First tried to delete it but it came back again, so i changed it's name to: "teste.txt" and it was accepted, then delete BUT... it came back once more with its new name "teste.txt".
Rebooted PC in safe mode, look for the file and deleted right away. Back to notebook, pasted updated FuerPricesEU.fpf file and it's done.
SO, guess could have done it without all that work by simply go to safe mode and delete it in the first way...

To finish and be sure, used TT Home to remove FuelPrices from my TT device wich it did with no problems and then just deleted the "teste.txt (it was the previous FuelPricesEU.fpf file).

back working smooth again

Did you try a reset of your unit? Did you try a reboot of your puter?

Resetting does not affect the storage memory.

I didnt know that. Thought that if i do a reset it would become as factory default (except for tha map, of course).

Tks for the info
