I doubt if that is the reason it is not showing on your device but unfortunately I don't know the solution either, come to think of it on my friends TT XL that I upgrade the map on last week the fuels did not show up on that one either, but unfortunately I did not have time to try and find out why.
The app itself should show, but will just not show any prices.

I am going to take a guess here as his Navcore was the original and I did not install a new one, his navcore was higher (9.1 I think) than mine at 8.4.

Hopefully one of the other members will be able to help, but you may need to supply the CurrentConfig information which you can get quite easily by downloading and running the: TTCurrentConfig tool which will give you information similar to this:
TTGO.BIF:
DeviceName=TomTom ONE
DeviceVersionHW=ONE (v2)
BootLoaderVersion=55244
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8410
ApplicationVersion=1218
CurrentMap=Europe_875_3613
CurrentMapVersion=875.3613

Does it work for Scandinavia BTW? Is that the reason maybe?

There is no coverage in Scandinavia, so you will not see anything on your map. Install a map for a supported country, & you will see the map icons in that country.

But surely even though Scandinavia is not covered surely the actual fuel price app would still show, but probably with all the fuel icons showing no prices whatsoever, simply because there is no price information.

I addressed the map issue with no reference to the app. Provided the "fuelprice.png" was included in the download & the correct emu is set, the app should be in Main Menu, TomTom Services.

in the past I was using programs like BBStools or Darth_Sidious to get this information, but it's been a long time since the files downloaded from both of them do not work. isn't it there a more direct way to get these files rather than having to visit this thread? wouldn't it be better to know the source of those files and get the most up-to-date version ourselves whenever we need them? just as a suggestion.

1. There certainly is. Buy a subscription from tt.com & you can get direct updates 4 times a day!!!
2. The source is TT.com & you can get the most up-to-date version yourself, whenever you need them, with your paid subscription.
3. Please share your files with Navitotal. Thanx!!

ok, got it.

does it make any sense, once downloaded these files and selected the appropriate one, copied all of them to map folder and activate them with FastActivate, to see a "no information available" under "last update" at the lower left corner? when I press fuel prices on my device, I see the correct "Diesel" label I selected from the available files, but when I use the "search by distance" or the "search by price" buttons I see all the gas stations listed with their distance to the current position, but a blue column of "--" signs where the prices should be.

am I doing anything wrong? is this behavior somehow expected?

1. This is a patched app quirk.
2. The blue column should have the prices in it. Are there prices listed in the Fuel Main Page "Cheapest nearby" & "Cheapest in area"??

1. so this is an expected behavior? I shouldn't then worry? fine.
2. unfortunately no information is present in all 3 cheapest options (route, nearby, area), just giving me the following message (translating from spanish): "prices information for this position/location is not available. update your device with the latest fuel prices".

of course I've just downloaded the latest files (the ones uploaded today), but no price information is displayes. by the way, I'm using your latest 9.401 navcore on a One 3rd edition v6 32MB, in case it could be a matter of navcore display.

(translating from Spanish) solved it. Fuel prices are only availably in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany and United Kingdom but not Spain

ha! should have started from the beginning, shouldn't I?

I guess I will have to stick to my usual ov2 spanish resource, which is not as nice as the fuelprices function although I'm still able to see the station fuel price on the station name when navigating through POIs. thanks a lot tendriver for such fast and useful support.

Hi All. Can anyone tell me if it is possible, like speedcams, to pass information on fuel stations to the official source of this information?

I ask because I routed off the Motorway last week to a location which indicated its fuel was the cheapest on my route and found the remains of a station which had obviously not been there for some years:-( The legend indicated that it was one of the major petroleum companies and not an independent which made it more disappointing.

Main Menu, Map corrections, Correct a map error (page 2), Edit POI or Main Menu, Map corrections, Correct a map error (page 3), Comment on POI.

Thanks, I've done that now. However, I'm not sure that info gets back to the providers of the price info. I think that only deals with the POI, does it not? How can there be a regularly updated price for fuel at a location where there is no petrol station?

1. The providers of the price info are the petrol stations themselves.
2. Fuel prices ARE POIs.
3. Give me all the data for the closed station in question.
