TomTom XL SD card not work properly

32 MB RAM (free 6.4 MB)
GPS v1.20, Boot 5.5279

2 GB SD-card work, 4 GB or 8 GB work to if use maps ~400 MB. If copy maps 2,8 GB to SD, SD-card will not boot.

If not use SD-card work perfet.

TomTom internal memory "bootloaderversion.txt" : BootloaderTarget=s3c24xx
Bootloaderversion=5.5022
In menu bootloader is: 5.5279

Bootloader has been upgraded from a memory card 4 GB.
Is it a mistake? and the bootloader is defective?

Will try to update the bootloader?

Bootloder 5.5282 works in XL model?

What can still be a problem?

The same cards and software working perfectly are tomtom one.

Whitch bootloader you have

Checking bootloader (the only reliable method)

Enter a device reset 15 sec.

Then turn on the device and hold the start button until you
get info screen. Which bootloader is there.

If you see when you start up your device a frozen screen with your sdcard in blue we have the same problem :-(

I format SD-cart FAT32 > FAT
It not help.
Install soft + 350 MB RBF maps + Europe 2.89 GB

If use 350 MB maps like works, if 2.89 GB maps make several restart or nothing.
For a moment worked when it was 20 minutes waiting.

So on the SD Card you have the NC 9.510 and the basic Europe map (so no speedcams etc). Insert the SD
Card and give the device a 15 sec reset. Just after the resert start the device. Is it starting trough or is it stil restarting.

One time it help. I got browse Europe maps diferent place, like works all. Next restart not boot again and "hard reset" didn't help to. Make restart or only totom screen logo.

Downgrade bootloadr it is possible?

You can try it. I don,t think that it helps but you never know.

Veix did you perhaps install 9.702.go_work-CAB-navcore-GO-WORK i did and i saw a boot loader installing ???
i am affraid that's the reason :-(

I don,t think that the bootloader from the 9.702 (bootloader 5.5279) is the reason.
If somethings don't work properly the first think you hear BOOTLOADER.
I using the bootloader 5.5279 on a view devices (one, One V1, One XL) with a Europe map (2.9GB) and NC 9.510 and all works fine

btw is there a navcore for 32mb memory???

I thought i did Fredderf but indeed special thanks to holyhead for his support!!!!!

I deleted Europe map and SD card began to work.
Navcore + Europe maps (not speedcams and voices) works.
Install voices and speedcam, again not work.

The SD card is not working properly, it does not diferent which bootloader or navcore.

I tried one 4 GB SD and two 8 GB micro SD.
2GB SD works well.

So this means there is something wrong with the speedcams and or voices.
Wich voices you use.
Try the navcore from post 13
