2. Delete everything from the SD card. Put the current Truck navcore 8.398 (Use this version:
Navcore 8.398 Truck DSA version), the current Truck map 890.4266, a copy of the XL's ttgo.bif file & FastActivate 1.8.9.0 on the SD card. Patch the map with FastActivate.Put the card in the XL and boot it.

Do a 30 second "hard reset". If no help, Run
DOWNLOAD TOMTOM CLEAR FLASH TOOL HERE 3 times.

Hello.
The link "SE_Navcore.8.412.1236_32mb_devices.rar" of the first page is dead.
Where can I find it ? I've searched for hours on the internet without success. I'd like to update a Tomtom one V2 to navcore 8 with it.
Is it possible on this device to use a bigger than 2 Go SD card ? If yes what should I do ? Thanks from France for this great site.

Thanks for your answer.
I've never updated a bootloader. Do you have a link to a tutorial to do it ?
What is the max size of a SD card I can use ? 16 go is ok ?

Does anyone know if it is possible to install the truck maps on a Tomtom one iq routes?
I can't see any sd slots and internal memory is only 64 meg

64mb would be the Ram not the internal memory, but without a SD slot you would need more than 2.5GB.

Only 2 gig, and SMS soldering is not my thing....what is the cheapest way of getting the truck map?

Oops I meant smd soldering is not my thing

Cheapest way would be to buy a 530/530/720/730 used or refurbished.

I have a TT One XL with navcore 4.410 and map 8.85 with IQ Routes. All maps update (8.90 and 8.95) with IQRoutes requires navcore 9. I tryed navcores 9.026 and 9.101 with map 8.95 and both freeze when I try to plan a route and then reset. I imagine that is a lack of memory. Both experiences used SD cards.
Which navcore can I use with new map 895.4438?

Hi moderators of this fantastic site !
I've been working on a ONE 3rd edition (3.5" screen, 1GB, 32MB, no SD).
1. The owner said that a few weeks ago the sound suddenly completely disappeared.
I've been resetting it but even the TomTom drum can't be heard.
No crack, peep or whatever.
I could not find anything which can be corrected in the volume level, mute, poi warning setting (which, so I gathered could also be the cause of failing sound), or speaker output
So I expected a hardware problem but was not sure.
1. It has an BL v5.5022 which is okay as far as I've understood
2. It had NC 8.010 which was functioning but while connecting it with TTHome presented some Polish message on a otherwise Dutch installation. It turned out the device had been patched once before by a man from Poland.
3. I updated existing map to current version (900 Europe_South_1GB and 895 Benelux) successfully.
(Navitotal maps of course!)
4. In an effort to 'correct' the 'crypto' Polish NC, I updated to NC 8.410. It was my first time doing but I succeeded yesterday in getting a working TomTom.
5. However, the sound is not restored, perhaps making it probable that it is a hardware problem.
I've read that it can be a defective speaker or a contact which has been shook loose on the road.
What do you think. Is it worth unscrewing the unit to take a look at the speaker ?
EDIT: In the meantime I have unscrewed and peeled it open. Didn't see loose contacts. Unplugged the wires and pressed the contacts. Alas. all to no avail...
6. Although I do not think it's probable that the sound issue is software related, is it worth while to install a newer NC like 9.205 for the new Rider 3 as tendriver suggested with a similar TT model in post 389?
Thanks in advance !
