Wed Aug 03, 2011 10:22 am

hi ya,
i have got my old tomtom go 700 out of the loft and i have updated the navcore to 8.351 and the map to 870.3406 i was wondering if i subscribe to tomtom traffic will it work now i have updated my go?
they reason why im asking this is because on my old version it was call tomtom plus and i had to put in my username and password to allow the tomtom to access the traffic update.
please advise if i can still use tomotm traffic
thanks

All these older (non-Live) devices don't have an inbuilt sim card for which you can subscibe to Live services so you need to buy an RDS/TMC receiver then you get traffic updates for free.

I checked 3 spec charts, & all three say "no".

...if indeed these "real old ones" even do this? Maybe they only use bluetooth? Not too sure now.
