TomTom 6100 update with broken usb, working SD

Sun May 26, 2019 3:24 pm

So I thought I should update my GPS...
My USB port on the TomTom 6100 device is broken and now vaccation is comming up and I want to update the device. I tought I could put my SD-card in the computer and update trough the SD card but after entering the SD-card in the computer no maps are visible on the sd card and the device says no maps found on the device.
Is there any map I can download and put on the SD card? to get it working again?

Ok, no input on that :)
how about...
I have an old Samsung tablet with GSM modem, can I take the "tomtom" simcard (vodafone) into the tablet?

I entered it and "only data" appears but no internet connection, I have roaming on, anyone have a clue if it would work and if yes what settings I need to have?

Cheers!

Sorry but none of the above is possible...your only option is to update it via the TomTom MyDrive Connect software, which you obviously can't do because of the broken socket

Read more about that here: topic8690.html

You could send it to TomTom for repair but it's probably not economically viable
