TomTom XL 330S Need Help Updating US Maps

Pardon my ignorance but I tried following the online instructions a patching to update my TomTom XL 330S to the latest US maps, and after over an hour of deleting, copying, & patching I got the error that the maps could not be used on my device. I currently have:

  • App 8.083 (9669/090817) OS: 343369
  • 32 MB RAM (free: 3.4 MB)
  • GPS v1.21, Boot 5.5136
  • Map: 'USA-and_Canada' v835.2423
  • Language: English US

  • Do a full windows explorer backup (Copy & Paste)
  • Download Navcore 9.205 AutoInstaller from here http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?2831-TomTom-Automatic-Navcore-Installation
  • Run the .exe file with your TomTom connected to PC and choose to install to your tomtom drive,
  • Boot your device and then turn back off (This creates the required ttgo.bif to use with the Activator to patch your map)
  • Download Required map and copy the new map folder to your device root/sd root
  • Run AuotoActivate.exe witch should be in your device/sd root with the rest of the navcore files to patch your map
  • Done

I tried following these instructions but ran into a disk full error. I then deleted all of my original contents and tried again and received the same error on a different file. Please advise. The second error was
Write error in the file Outsourced.9205\sbin\chat. Probably the disk is full
