Hi,

Is there a TRUCK navcore and map (UK) available that will work on my TomTom XL with 1GB internal memory and 32MB ram?
Thanks.

Hi. It does not have a card reader so I am limited to the 1GB. Are there any TRUCK maps for UK (I haven't been able to find any) that will fit in 1GB? Thanks.

There is a tutorial about somwhere about soldering a sd card to the inside of a device with no sd slot to increase storage but i have not tested this and it could proove risky to do, do a google search for it

Thanks for that. Have googled it and taken my TomTom apart but it is quite different. There are 12 solder pads like the one 3rd edition but they are in a different format and may be nothing to do with an SD connection so looks like time to give up. Thanks.

Sorry that you didn't have a better outcome.

FTF, when asked for a TT model recommendation, our answer is: a 4.3 or larger screen, 64MB RAM memory, a minimum of 2GB storage memory & a card sllot.
