Hi I have a Tom tom xxl 540s with navcore 9.056 can this be cracked to use maps from here?? If so how can it be done??

Well, you actually don'T "hack" the Navcore it s only a patch, alternatily you can you a SE Navcore, one of fullbackups or the DSA Navcores.
I think for you the easiest way would be to choose a map with automatic install and use the included patcher to activate the map and patch the Navcore.
Fast activate and Auto activate are both recommended for all patching (hacking) needs.

Oh I thought you had to hack the navcore and patch the map my bad so just patching the map will work fine??

We are getting into semantics here. For clarafication, both navcore & map must be patched. The navcore can be a downloaded pre-patched version, but the map is patched specifically for the device it is used on.

So it there a patched version of navcore for my gps or do I have to patch it?? My version is 9.056

Copy both the ttsystem & PNDNavigator files into your unit. This patch is defaulted to x40. I have included a model.txt file set for x50. You can try it if you so desire.

i have a TomTom XXL 540s as well but i'm really confused as to what i'm actually meant to do for patching navcore, maps and if i could get speed camera info on my device...

i think i have navcore 9.053 (just updated via TomTom home)

can you explain a little what i'm meant to do and such please... i didn't quite get what to do from your links... sorry if it sounds dumb

also i'm from Australia if that helps with which maps i need...

Go here: 860 maps with installer and Fast Activate Read the instructions carfully!!! Select: Australia_860_3101 Use the included FastActivate tool to patch your navcore & map.
