running 7.903/9183
boot loader 5.05
trying to update this the auto install 8.412 navcore and it just sticks on the boot screen all the time, i had this with a go 500 but that was down to it having an old bootloader 3.01. this has a 5 numbered boot loader so thought it would be ok
everytning is pacthed ok
and if i insert the original sd card it works fine
theres no map setting in the map file either so it cant be that
what card should they be able to take
using micro SD 2 gig and in SD card adaptor

any ideas

could you explain abit moreabout accidental updates, as when it was called system5.128 it would not boot but as soon it was called system it booted

ithought the bif/bak/ori files sort update issues with tt home or is this 2 different things we are on about here

1. The bootloader is a file named system. It is included in every navcore. When a navcore is installed into a device, either internally or on a SD card, that navcore's bootloader is installed, if it is named system &has a higher number than the current installed version.
There is a bit of a mania on the web about updating bootloaders and "bricking" a unit. To prevent a bootloader from being installed, the version number will be added to the end of the file name, ie system5.5128. This allows the device owner the option of whether to install the bootloader or not.

2. It is entirely 2 different things.
