got the XL to boot now , the xl has a 1 gig internal memory and a sd card slot, when you inset the SD card it auto defaults to load from the card, is it possible to put the navcore and 1 map on the SD card ,but put a different map only on the internal drive and manage it via switch maps been trying but with no luck

No, it is either internal or external, not both at the same time.

Confirm that you put a copy of the device's ttgo.bif file on the card before patching.

so it seems no map can bee used on the xls internal memory while and SD is being used so its the 4 gig card option and thats the XL sorted

now back to the tt one that will not go past the boot screen
new Sd card with 8412 auti install navcore on and europe west 860.3101maps maps are patched no problem ,thinks it bootloader 5.5128 but not sure

getting no where with this one tried a different SD card but no luck still sticks on boot screen, so tried both SD in a different device and both boot no problem in the device just get the wrong mapp message as expect as the cards are not for that device , not sure what to try next
