Tue Jul 20, 2010 9:09 pm

That will not work. You can not permanently change the values in the ttgo.bif file. The TT unit creates a new ttgo.bif file every time it is booted.

one step.... :-) and are you sure you not operate sd-card files, do all for device files

The emulator and the version error are 2 totally diffrent fix's/problems not connected, if you done this as instructed wich you said you have it should work, this is what works for the 1000'nds of other users so i am a little confused,

Do you still have an origional backup , if you do please open the ttgo.bif and see what numbers it has in lines 9+10 and let me know.

combat goofwing wrote:sorry it didn't work

i deleted the bak file in there already
i opened up the ttgo.bif file ,didnt alter anything and saved it as a ttgo.bak file
i opened up the ttgo.bif file change lines 9 and 10 to read
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8010
ApplicationVersion=9369

and i saved this as ttgo.ori, rebooted the device switched on and connect to pc

Exactly as it is above no dots (.) in the numbers

If this does not work You want to create a ttgo.bak with exactly the same details as your ttgo.bif and then create a ttgo.ori with the same details i have posted above. This should fix your version error , do you still have the "operate my device" emulator error in tthome

The ttgo.ori file should have the actual installed navcore values in lines 9 & 10. My unit creates it's own ttgo.ori file with those values.

My ttgo.bif Created by the unit
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8351
ApplicationVersion=9982

ttgo.bak
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8351
ApplicationVersion=9982

ttgo.ori Created by the unit
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9103
ApplicationVersion=539753.2

Yes this is exactly how mine is setup and it works fine, so it must be a user error as i have never come across a user who this does not work for,
