AS IT SEEMS THAT WE ARE GOING TO HAVE to update the satellites every 5-6 days, the nav 9541 in my go 7000 works well, the problem is not being able to put the measurements of the truck, the original navcore of tomtom for this model is the 9702 I have tried to install again from tomtom home then patching, I have changed the bin files for those of 9541. but still giving the failure every 5-6 days, I will continue doing tests

This seems to work. You can alway,s give it a try

- create a suicide.dat with entry "5" (without the execution characters)
- start the Go x20/30/7000 (satellite detection not required)
- remove the power (if connected) and turn off the Go again.
- Either via the automatic switch-off function or by hand, in
- any case only after removing a connected power supply!
- wait at least the 5 seconds set in suicide.dat
- turn on the Go x20/30/7000 again (it starts after a correct switch off with 00.00)
and he will find the satellites (about one minute later then also the correct time). Whether with or without GpsFix files! In the worst case, wait 3-5 minutes.

Now the Go x20/30/7000 should always after these 5 seconds find the satellites
(without any GpsFix).

it is not clear to me what to turn off the gps and then turn on is only once after putting the suicide.dat or do we have to turn on and off the gps every time we are going to use it?

After much research and testing, I finally managed to run the "TTquickgpsfix" option! It allows you to update QuickGPSfix files directly from the GPS using an Android smartphone or tablet, eliminating the need to use a computer to connect to TomTom's servers.

Explanation: The GPS uses the internet connection of the smartphone (wifi or 3G/4G) via Bluetooth. It's very easy to connect a GPS to a smartphone with Bluetooth, but even by activating the function "Bluetooth modem", this connection only allows phone calls and SMS. In order to access the wireless data, it is necessary to use the Bluetooth DUN profile (Dial-Up Networking), which can not be activated directly on our smartphones. This requires a free Android application. To my knowledge, there is unfortunately no equivalent application for iPhone. If this solution interests you, read my tutorial "Option_QuickGPSFix.pdf". It's in French, but I think that with Google translation you can easily understand it.

I tried your solution. Onfortunally the BlueDun does't connect after I clicked on the QuickGPSfix on my TT720. I waited long but no connection. Suggestions?

@nativeione

This method was developed to work with my 9.702 SE/DSA navcore. With other DSA navcores I tested, (9.401 and 9.541) the results are random. What is your navcore?

Thx for your reply Charlie62. I use the 9.541 SE, TT 720 go T. I figured out what the problem is. I used my Samsung S5 with Wifi. This is an older smartphone without Sim. Unfortunately I now use an Iphone. So I have to charter a friend with a android phone.

You can do a test with my navcore and your GS5 with wifi:

N. B. I didn't put the folders "LoquendoTTS" and "voices" because they only contain French voices.

Hi Charlie62,

It worked with your navcore. I unchecked the "skip internet test" in the settings of BlueDun.

@charlie62

Is it possible to turn off the BlueTooth in your navcore? If so how?

What do you mean exactly by "turn off the Bluetooth"?
