Does this unit have the MobileNavigator folder? If it does an SD card with MobileNavigator\MobileNavigator.exe overrides the one in the internal memory, Therefore unlocking is not required.

In short, Put the new MobileNavigator folder on a SD Card and the unit runs that instead of the original application. Remove the SD card and it's back to normal.

A bit of research on the Tevion GPS 4301 rather than the Tevion GPS 4314 suggests that the device looks for \...\MobileNavigator\MobileNavigator.exe just like your other device does, So just copy everything to do with Tomtom across and reboot, When the map activation error happens exit Tomtom and run the patcher.

If you can't delete anything, Look for "Config.sys", delete that and reboot, Windows CE will want you to calibrate the screen, Don't, Instead connect to your PC and you *should* be able to delete stuff that you couldn't before.
