Sorry if this is a stupid question but after instaling 9026 on my 710 there is a win rar file on the sd card called "switch files" inside which are cycle txt,model txt, setconfig txt, and version text. Is this correct or should these files be unpacked somewhere else?

Have a look in the tutorial section, the switchfiles are explained there.
Not that you really need them, but if so you have to unpack the rar and make the modifications you need.

There is also an Outsourced folder in there that you don't need. You can delete both of them.

Thanks guys made a config folder put files in and everything working much better now have some options I didn't have before as well thanks a lot.

Just need to work out how to get the tmc going now it is the only thing that won't work

In the setconfig.txt try the parameter
fixtmc

Does not work for all but often solves the problem.

Yes I tried that but no go. I even tried letting tt home reset the device back to 7903 and then copying the files onto the 9026 install still no joy.

Just for grins, in the setconfig.txt file set the model to X30.

ok will give it a try I have tried everything else bar throwing it out of the window on the motorway lol.
It just says searching for signal constantly.
Is there any way of disabling the live feature?

Okay guys I have fixed it works like a dream now locks on and stays locked on. I swapped the mctx file for an earlier one 2008 and all is tickety boo.
