SOLVED You cannot use this map on this device: United_States

Fri Jul 10, 2020 10:14 pm

Hi :)

Before I go back to my previous TomTom map of United_States_2GB_1050_10178 that ran well, has anyone tried to install the United_States_2GB v1051.10303 map and had success?

The (United_States_2GB v1051.10303 ) is giving me this message:
Problem with map:

You cannot use this map on this device: United_States_2GB-102533

Update :)

Tried again to get the 1051 running, this time using the TTActivator instead of the FastActivate and it's running without that error message now :)

Hi holyhead :)

I did try with the FastActivate (same one as posted, dated 4/29/2020). But the FastActivate I previously was using did not come with the updated Meta.txt file as what was in your FastActivate package.

So, all I can figure is the TTActivator had the updated meta.txt file where as the FastActivator I had of 4/29/2020 had an older Meta.txt file.

I never thought to check the Meta.txt's until I noticed the one in the TTActivator had mention of the 5051 maps whereas my FastActivate package did not.

Learned something new now and will also check the meta. txt files in the future, instead of just going by the FastActivator's time stamp as I know the metas can be newer even though the FFA's have the same date.

Thank you :) Lesson learned :)
