Do you have any idea how hard it is to help, when members don't pay attention to what they have been told?

A repeat from post 27. "Model: is in the setconfig.txt file, so delete the model.txt file". You mention adding ttson. That is not a valid command.

Have you emptied the devices Flash memory ?? , this can cause sluggish behavior if it is full, please see my tutorial here, run the application 3 times, you will NOT loose any settings or files during this process. :- http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?1914-TomTom-Clear-Flash-Tool

I tried this NC 9.205 also with my ONE XL. When I try x40light, the device also freezes when it boots. Why don't you try my suggestion (last part of post #39)? You can always go back if you don't like it.

I repeat: x40light is for small 3.5" screens.

Maybe for the NC 9.205. But for others (like 8.562 and 8.544), x40light works perfect. Even better than x40.

x40light is for small screen units attempting to install any big screen SE navcore.

Okay, that may be true. But apparently it also works very well on a big screen device using SE NC 8.544 and 8.562 (and also a lot more SE NCs).

You must remember that the source of these SE navcores are not all the same any more until/if TTuser comes back, so you might get some minor diffrences in them

My apologies!! I have allowed us to get off topic again. Please start a new thread to continue the SE debate.
