[Discussion] Rider Navcore 9.500

Sat Feb 16, 2013 5:48 am

You can find the download here: :link:
Please keep all questions related to any versions of the Navcore inside this thread - don't open a new one!

Thanks.

Is it the navcore provided with the new (released two days ago) "Tomtom Rider" GPS or something from another source?

Sat Feb 16, 2013 10:07 am

What other sources than Tomtom do you know for new Navcores?
And why do you think is the link to the original CAB included? ;)

Sat Feb 16, 2013 11:11 am

Good point !

I'll test the stock version on the Urban rider (Riderv3) and review that asap...

Thx !

Sat Feb 16, 2013 11:56 am

First test with cab only + files others files (voices, etc) from old navcore -> most of menu's icons are missing.

Sat Feb 16, 2013 11:59 am

The cab will only work on the Rider5 - it is a new model.
If you try to use it on a different device you are lucky to get it booting.
That is where you should try the installer ;)

Just noticed on my 730 that in standard emu (x30) I can set the speaker preferences to play instructions over FM.

Thu Feb 21, 2013 10:03 am

Any ideas? Can I get a GO520 to work as rider? which navcore is recommended/ works. I have a spare 520 and wish to use on my motorbike. I have a waterproof case and mount already.
Thanks

Just got confirmation that in Rider 2 Emu (17) headsets will work on a 720.
Hardware is similar so it should be no problem.
Only other way to get the winding road feature is:
select Rider2 emu,
set always use winding route in the route preferences,
change the emu to what you prefer.
Every new route will be calculated as winding route until you change the routing preferences,
after that you have to change back and start again.

The ID's with no menu can use a tomtom.mnu .
I can't see a difference between 17 and 46 on my device.
The non working ID's might work on other devices as for example 39 for the Start2 doesn't not work my 730 either - so feel free to test those on your device and report back if you find working ones.
A complete reskinf iles could look like this:
slf-Self;slf-Self;5-Rider1;6-UpDown;;17-Rider2;18-GO x20;24-GO x40;25-GO x30;34-One;34-ONE;35-XL;36-XL LIVE;37-GO x50;39-Start;42-XXL;43-Start2;46-Rider3

Feel free to use this info, but leave credits if posting elsewhere please.

currently have rider navcore 9.205 on a xl-s that is working well.

thanks much for the time

Sat Mar 30, 2013 12:36 pm

What files are you talking about??

Sat Mar 30, 2013 1:20 pm

sorry, was looking at a different package about the files. (9.500.2-6021.CAB-navcore-RIDER)

if my tomtom is on a card, insert card, then run the installer.exe (9.500Rider_Installer) ?? easy as that ??

first time with an installer like this,
thanks much

Is there a reason why you are using Rider navcores on an XL?
