only use it on my Motorcycle, love the record route, and the quick access to say next waypoint and stuff like that that the software gives me.
for the cars google maps is used for the most part.

Good Answer.

Yep, easy as that!!

ok, slow guy here again. got the installer, pointed at the root of sd card, all good but stock emulation for my one-xl.
is there a tip or link or information on the skins/reskinfile and how it works ?? my old reskin just said rider. been looking for about an hour and still confused on how it now works.

thanks much again

"The emulation can be selected on the last page of the menu - Skin Chooser" not seeing that anywhere on mine.

This is an example of a resking that is almost complete - but you usually don't need all emulations:
36-XL LIVE;36-XL LIVE;slf-Self;17-Rider;34-ONE;35-XL;36-XL LIVE;37-GO x50;39-Start;18-GO x20;25-GO x30;24-GO x40
If you choose 33-simple;33-simple you get a 2 pane status bar on Navores that by default have a 3 pane bar.

ok, so put the reskin file in the root of the sd card ?? then choose the emulation i want to try, or what my device is ??
sure wish i could use and find that skin chooser, might make it easier for me. (still not seeing under settings)

for example, if i want to try the latest rider emulator

how do i cycle the emulation if i do not have the skin chooser in the menu or settings on mine, software does show 9.500

thanks again for the help, much appreciated.

No...
You have to replace the existing resking file or edit it - only available in my Navcores or Navcores based on the DSA tool.
The emulation is selected using the skin chooser in the menu, a doubleclick in the centre of the screen will reboot into the selected emulation.
But all that could be found by following the links to the Navcore section on the first page....

Nope, so far no one was able to emulate the new Rider.
The avialable Rider emus only gives access the the Urban and the old Rider, there with missing icons in the menu.

Wow, Downunder, I used your NC on a Rider 1 and it works brilliantly.
I can't believe how good it operates on this old little beast on wheels.

Although I can't check sound (via BT) right now, it'll probably be okay.

I'm running the Rider 2 skin and that looks great.
I'm puzzled how this old thing can even run X50 emu that good.

Spectacular ! Thanks so much !

Downloading now to try and install the rider navcore on my 730. Perfect for mounting on my motorbike :)
Thanks for the hard work you've put into this.

It took a little fiddling around, but I got it all working beautifully :)
Having said that, I haven't tested it on-road yet, but it looks great.

I've just found an annoyance:

My Go 730 can play mp3s when using its default navcore.
With this navcore though I can either use skin:

25 - (Go 730)
Which shows the icons for music, but throws up an error.

or

46 - Urban Rider
Which does not show any icons for music playback.

Any ideas on how I might resolve this? My ideal setup would be to somehow add the music playback options to the Urban Rider skin.

a) make your own menu and add the jukebox
b) accept what is possible
Buy an Urban Rider and you'll notice there is no jukebox, because noone should use one while riding a bike.

It's more about being able to hit play before I head off on a long country ride than anything else. I'm not interested in changing tracks or mucking about whilst I'm on the move.

I'll look into the custom menu option. I'm sure there's something about that on this forum somewhere. Thanks for the suggestion.
