Renault TomTom Live - updatable?

I have already read this topic: topic20923.html where it says that it is not possible to update TomTom Live with Navcore higher than 8.842

Topic is from 2018, maybe something has changed till 2020?

And which map can be used for Carminat TomTom (Navcore 8.842)

Is that only 1050.10180 because this is only map type "carminat (nav2)"?
Or are other map numbers also possible to use?

Other maps can be used on Carminat but will be compromised in some way so it's for this reason 1050.10180 maps are designated for Carminat use.
