I also don't hear any sound at startup, is that okay ?

I think the problem is in the booting section.
Maybe the previous owner has tried to install an incorrect bootloader.
Can that cause these problems ?
In your table I noticed that the official bootloader for the Go 720 is 5.512 ?
Can this be installed again ?

Maybe thats also the reason I've no GPS signal !

well, bootloader problems is possible...

usually, we tell users to not upgrade their NAvCore is their bootloader is a version 1.xxx

which might have been the case for your current GPS...

even tho your official bootloader is version 5.xxxx ,

its possible that it came with a version 1.xxxx ....

Are there any other options ?
Is disconnecting the battery an option ?

maybe your internal memory is damaged

720's are capable of running any bootloader i have not yet come across a bootloader to give me problems like that with my 720 nor have Tendriver with his, so unless your device come with a v1x bootloader (wich is not commen with 720's) it is not a bootloader problem but i would say more of a hardware error, please confirm to me the steps you performd when installing the navcore/map

Well, first and most important : you should never format your internal memory! Same goes for SD cards! A simple delete of all files is all that's needed.
It is not a hard drive and formatting a TT or SD with Windows is the best way to kill your memory.
Only if there are thousands of small files you could try a quick format as this only rewrites the filetables.

If it is not hardware related than a wrong bootloader is not a likely reason because a 720 can accept any bootloader I know.
In case you want to revert back a"safe" bootloader user this [Please Register or Login to download file] it will show up as 0 making it possible to install the original bootloader, but usually this rescue bootloader is good enough.
It is the 5.5112 and safe for devices.
Before you play around more than necessary use Home to do the job :
Remove all from your TT except the file "ttgo.bif".
Connect to the pc and in Home click on update my device.
Home should install the official Navcore for you.
After that your TT should start normally even without a map - if that is the case you can either patch the Navcore and install a map.
Or use a different Navcore and map.
But in any case make sure not to install a new bootloader again -- the file is called "system" without an extension!

I was hoping to reinstall the device and having a working device.
The seller told me the device stopped working properly after updating with Home when the PC stopped.
Now I've seen the device I don't think he told the truth.
I've done everything you can read in the history of this threat eskro suggested.

hmm you say you can not get a gps signal and you got no info in gpsfirmware, this indecates to me you have a hardware problem with gps reciever this is how my gpsfirmware version looks on my go 720

Finally the rebooting problem is solved with navcore 8.351
But the GPS is still not working.....

The device displays "poor GPS reception" and on the satellite screen the orange/black circle in the right upper corner is not "rotating" and no information is displayed.
No bars, No circles, No coordinates.....

That seems to make it complete ...
Looks like a hardware problem with you GPS receiver :(
You could try to dismantle it and check for loos connections but I don't think you will have much luck with that.
Maybe if you ask the TT service nicely they will offer a cheap repair or refurbished device for it at a low cost.
