I didn't tried yet, but past week is replaced the mctx file with one from an older (v8) official navcore, and it seems to be working:

When I start a new journey at various times of the day to the same destination, the time changes and the screen indicates that it was calcuted at current time.

It's strange since tomtom official website says that RDS is not working anymore in France...
