Question about map versions

Hi all

I am a bit confused, out of the two below which is latest?

Europe 2GB 860.3101 [2518.8MB] OR Europe 2GB 860.3101 with Automatic Installer & Patcher
; Europe_2GB_860_3101
A6 30 90 DA AA C7 0C 07 9C F5 64 6F B2 AF B4 B2 Europe_2GB-254.meta

Europe 2GB 860.3102 [2382.6MB] OR Europe 2GB 860.3102 with Automatic Installer & Patcher

3101 is bigger in size but smaller version number.

So is 3101 newer then 3102 or the other way?

The first 3 digits is the map edition. The last 4 is the map version of that edition. All 860 maps came out at the same time. There is a chart in All New Maps 860.XXXX post 1, that gives the features of the different versions & navcore compatibility.

I always had problem choosing the right sub-version for my GO 740.
For sure, beginning will be "Western_and_Centra_Europe-2G_860_", but which sub-version should I choose ?

I should be stupid, because I can't understand how to use the chart (I think it could be 3101, but not sure...)

If anyone could be kind enough to help me on this basic question...

Not the 2GB version.

thank's tendriver, I will get 3101 so...

I always use the _2GB_ version from 8.20 to 8.40 (I stopped until now at this version).

What are the difference between:

Western and Central Europe 860.3101 [2518.8MB]

and

Western and Central Europe 2GB 860.3101 [2518.8MB]

It look like the same size

There is no difference, only in the name. They used to be two different maps, but today, they are identical.
