Problems with installed Voices - help anyone?

Tue Dec 27, 2011 3:51 pm

Hello,

I recently learned how to update to the newest maps using FastActivate etc - and now I want to try to put some celebrity voices on there too. So I downloaded some voices, copied the couple of files for each voice into the voices directory, and then ran the latest fast activate again. So, the thing is, some of them work fine - Home Simpson, Spongebob and Mr Burns. However the others, Snoop Dogg and Mr T etc do not work.

Can anyone advise as to what I might be doing wrong and how to get these voices working?
Thanks

Neither Snoop Dogg nor Mr. T have to be patched.

Ok thanks, so how come they are not working? Should I just copy the individual files to the voices directory and it works? How come it does not? I read on another thread that some of the more basic devices only support a certain number of voices. So I deleted some of the other language ones, but still does not work.

Any suggestions?
Thanks for the help :)

This problem was solved here

Easiest way is to copy the premium (That need activating) voices into the voices folder, run the patcher, then copy the non premium (That don't need patching) into the voices folder afterwards.

Look in your voices folder. If you have a data116.chk.dct file &/or a data90.chk.dct file, delete them. Now try Snoop Dogg & Mr. T.
