Thanx. I got a PM stating, "This only effects a few new devices that run Navcore 11.035 (incl GO 820 & 1005)". To date we have not any any members post about this issue.

This was really a very big worldwide issue.
All new Navcore 11 devices stopped funtioning as from March 31st 2012
No GPS signal. Devices involved:
Start 20/25, Via 110/120/125, Via LIVE 120/125, GO LIVE 820/825, GO LIVE 1000/1005/1005 World.

The only solution is to install an updated Navcore 11.179 followed by a hard reset.

Thanx for the update.
There has been nothing about this issue in the news media on my side of the "big pond".
The problem appears to affect devices worldwide, with users in the UK, Australia, Switzerland and Denmark among those complaining of the problem.
To date we have not any any members post about being affected by this issue.

No one's asked me to fix any affected devices though.

From what I found by searching the various infos it seems to be the same problem that affected the chinese no name GPS systems a few years back.
Something in the transmission standards for the satellite signal was changed and since most of china bricks had totally outdated GPS standards integrated they failed.
Since the TT problem only affected the NC10/11 devices (and not really worldwide) I assume TT updated with a minor glitch in the GPS infos.
Comparing the affected with the new fixed version could proove it but doubt anyone bothers checking.
