did exactly as you said, didnt work back on splash screen it had updated the bootloader to 5.5136 though, thanks for your help anyway, take care,

Try removing the file "mapsettings.cfg" from your map folder and then booting again, if your device can be reconised by your pc it should be repairable, If removing that file does not work then go back over my steps caerfully,

Can you show me a screenshot of your root directry and your map folder please
