One 3rd w/ 2gb SD what Navcore & Map are suggested?

Sun Jun 20, 2010 8:34 pm

I would like to hear from you on what Navcore and Map you suggest on a One 3rd w/ a 2gb SD. I'd like to have a map with IQ & ALG. North America 850.2781 is the one I'm looking at now, I have the 8.412 Navcore.
On the Navcore, I would like to avoid the sensative screen if possible. Don't know if this is a product of the bootloader or the Navcore.

Thanks for your information!

Stick with your current navcore. NA 850.2781 is good. If you don't need Canada, United States 2GB v850.2781 is available.

Thanks tendriver, that's what's working now. The only thing that I wish would work is the IQ routes and fuel prices. But other than that....it's all good!

Another thing, I originally tried 8gb SD HC and it didn't work. I now have the 2gb, was wondering how big will the app recognize? I was hoping for at least a 4gb?????

all 850.2781 maps have IQ. Any navcore 8.300, or newer, supports SDHC cards (8GB and higher).

getting the fuel prices working should be no problem.

I agree, the IQ should be working, when I plan a route, on the last screen i.e. summary of the route a "warning" symbol shows indicating "IQ route is disabled".
I also up'd the bootloader to 5.5128 and re-tried the 8gb SDHC and no go...that really bums me. I thought for sure that would fix the problem...so I'm missing something. More time and studying I'm sure we'll figure what I'm missing.
Thanks for your inputs! The time and effort is truly appreciated!

Go to "Change Prefrences" > "Planning Prefrences" > "IQ Routes" if it is already enabled disable it and re- enable this should solve your problem. and as for the fuel prices download the files copy the appropriate files to your map folder and patch with keygen 4.1D ;)

Copy the 5 files in the attachment into your map folder. Create a FuelStations.ov2.dct with your keygen. Done.

Waiting on confirmation that your Fuel Prices are up and running.

Hey tendriver, I did do the 5 file copy over, and then activated with EasyActivator and verified that I got the *.dct file. I then tried them...but. Here's the funny part, I'm not quite sure on the One how to view the fuel prices other than going into the Quick Menu and placing a short cut there for Fuel prices. Is there other places or ways to view them? I don't see a TomTom Service icon anywhere like I see on my Go920 unit.

Anyways, when I activate Fuel prices in Quck menu and touch the Fuel price icon it high-lights and freezes the TT. After a few moments it re-boots. I hope you have ideas!

DeviceName=TomTom GO
DeviceVersionHW=ONE (v6)
DeviceSerialNumber=zzzzzzzzzzz
DeviceUniqueID=zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
RamDiskVersion=20090403
BootLoaderVersion=55128
LinuxVersion=303268
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8412
ApplicationVersion=1236

Original emu=x40

I tried x30 & x50 and I didn't get the TomTom services nor did will the Quick launch Icon work without locking up the One. Thanks for the idea.

Hi There,
I'm using a TomTom One v3, with 4GB microSDHC soldered inside. I've tried loads of different combos for map, navcore and bootloader, and have settled on the following:
Bootloader: 5.5237
Navcore: 9.051 Mireille Edition Ver9 beta.
Maps: Any 845/850 depends on your needs.

All seems to run fine on the v3, IQ routes, TTS, ALG etc,etc (map dependent) , not a lot of spare ram, but it's enough to run Johurts 'Height' if you want to know your altitude as well.

All Good, No problems thus far, no crashes, no freezes. If you're interested i can let you know the Install proceedure.

Cheers

You should now have 6 files in your map folder related to Fuel Prices.
