Buddy you are going to have to buy yourself a larger SD Card, because TomTom maps are getting even bigger, and you will need to update your navcore on the tomtom site to 8.351 for to use the new maps. All the Tomtom GO's are now obsolete and are classed as end of life, therefore any updates we now have to do them ourselves.

The official Navcore version is indeed 8.351 and you should update your TT using Home first - might take few rounds as your device is a dinosaur software wise.
This will give you a higher bootloader as well that supporst SDHC cards.
After that your map should work fine if the Navcore is patched and the map activated correctly.
You can use the full featured 865.3245 maps.
Once you updated to the 8.351 and the map is working you make a proper backup using Windows Explorer and try V9 Navcore if you like.
The 9.004, 9.205 and maybe the 9.160 would be a good choice to see if you prefer a V9 Navcore.

Hi,

I`m completly a newbie in tomtom map patching, please help me.
I have:
DeviceName=TomTom GO 520
DeviceVersionHW=GO 520
BootLoaderVersion=55136
LinuxVersion=315187
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8351
ApplicationVersion=9982
CurrentMap=United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland
CurrentMapVersion=715.1703

and would like to use Europe_2GB_870_3391 map. Is it correct?
What should I do to get maps working with speed cameras (and or what map should I use?)
How to patch map?

Use Windows Explorer to make a backup of your current setup.

Download Europe_2GB_870_3406 It is full featured. 3391 is not.
Download Speed cams. TomTom Official Speed Cams 08.06.11 Read the instructions.
Download this patcher. FastActivate ENG 29.05.2011 {1.8.7.0} Read the instructions. Select the Premium version.
Unzip the 3406 map. Unzip the speedcams. copy the speedcam files into the map folder.
Remove the old map folder. Copy in the new map folder.
Run the patcher & click on the 4 buttons, 1 at a time from left to right.
Disconnet & reboot.
