New Map shows wrong version number in HOME

Mon Oct 21, 2013 6:51 am

Hi guys,

Firstly aplogies if this has been answered before.

I have recently just installed map Europe ver 915.5074 on my 950 Go Live. I was upgrading from a previously legal map 910.4892

Everything works as expected after running FastActivate to patch the Navcore and Map, however HOME doesn't seem to recognise the version number correctly.

It seems to suggest that map 910.5074 is installed rather than 915.5074 as stated.

I have tried other newer maps to confirm. I installed 915.520 and once again it shows as 910.520??

Just wondering if I'm missing something obvious??

Thanks in advance

The very obvious....
I assume you never bothered to actually switch to the new map and left the old map installed?

Hi Downunder35m

No I completely removed the old map from the device altogether.

The device itself shows the correct map version when going into the "Version Info" screen, only HOME seems to show 910.5074 as opposed to 915.5074.

Where in TT Home are you seeing this?

If I click purchase new maps, for nothing more than checking the latest official version for my device, it shows that a new Europe map is available, this being 915.5074. It shows that J:/ (TomTom Device) has 910.5074 on it?

It's not causing any real issues other than applying more map corrections than I believe are necessary for my map.

Since this is the only reference, that you have found, to a 910.5074 map, and there is no such map, I suspect a TomTom typo error.

FYI, I have Map Share set to "Strict" & as of today's update, Map Share has installed 266,166 corrections.

Thanks tendriver

As I say, it wasn't causing any issues, was just a bit weird.
