Hi Guys,


I have tt one xl with a sd card which my daughter has formatted accidentally. ): and don't have a backup.


I don't know where to start i have tried download the map but it is not working. can some one will please direct me towards a guide for dummies like me to fix my tom tom ?

Go here: TomTom Current Configuration {13.11.2011} Carefully read the instructions, then download, unzip & run the .exe. Post your results here.

What area do you need to cover with a new map?

0) what is my current navicore version ?
1) How can i use new sd card 1GB ?
2) Install a new navicore accordingly to my device and new maps?
3) how to patch them?

0. According to your ttgo.bif in post 3, your navcore is 8.010.
1. By adding a navcore, a map, a copy of your ttgo.bif & FastActive.exe to the card, then patching the navcore & map.
2. The UK & ROI map below is compatible with your 8.010 navcore.
3. Go to FastActivate Latest Update Read the instructions carefully. Download, unzip & run FastActivate.exe (skip option 1, but run options 2 & 3).

For Step 1 navcore was added through tom tom home rest i did with the link provided.

Also Is there a possibility to upgrade to New Version of Navcore ? if so is it going to improve any thing for me or make it tt slow ?

Go to Navcores 9 for TomTom Devices. Downunder has done a mod on several 9.XXX navcores to run on older units. Read thru them to see if you find one that you like.
