navigate to latitude & longitude with navcore 9.150

Fri Nov 05, 2010 1:02 pm

Hi,
I have just replace my TomTOM by a New XL and I'm very surprise to don't find any way to navigate to latitude & longitude that was very usefull for me.
Is there a way to get this option, or change navcore to another one that permit this ?

Thanks to any help

Make a backup of your current setup using windows explorer.
Download [Please Register or Login to download file] Unzip it & copy the 11 data files into the root of your XL memory, overwriting any common files.
Reboot your unit.

Hi, I have tried your solution (as few other as well) and even I have full menu I have no voices. Do you have some solution for that?

Please refresh my memory. TT model? Current navcore? Current map? Current voices installed?

This unit came with 9.071. Did the voices work with that navcore?

Voices were and are working when I have standard menu, or if I set model.txt to ori. Problem is when I try to use your solution or change model.txt to x50 or x40.

This one is giving me only simple menu. Voices of course are working with it. I have tried to copy again files from 9-150-554646-1.win.2.2.rar, but it is not changing anything. Now even model.txt file is not changing anything. I have tried wipe device before apply 9.151 Navcore. Same result.

Mixing 9.150 files with 9.151 won't work. Give this a go with 9.151. http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?2702-Full-Menu-for-a-Start&p=13565#post13565

I believe that TomTom has somehow managed to disable the sound on the newer xls unless mode = ori. It doesn't seem to matter which navcore you use. It isn't that the sound isn't working, if you are plugged into home it works just fine no matter which emulation you use. It acts as if unless mode=ori the sound is not piped out through the internal speaker even if it is set to in preferences. I cant even seem to get it to work by making a tomtom.mnu in the SdkRegistry directory unless the model is set to ori.
