navi core and maps issues

Thu Jul 15, 2010 11:37 am

ill try to be as clear as possible

from another site i got a patched navicore to update my tom tom XL(no sd card), i deleted all the stuff off my sat nav(after backing it up) and copied the new navi core acoss
i then patched my new map(ok at doing this ) then copied that across, then using easy activator i patched my tom tom system file

and it all works, but tom tom home says i have invalid software on my tom tom, i can use the device via TT home but it still looks like my old navi core
tried to patch tt home via easy navigator but nothing worked

so my questions are

how do i get TT home to work
if a navi core for another device isnt patch then how do i patch it(going to try my brothers tom tom )

as its a up to date map will the speed cams be more up to date or do i have to add those
how do i get the favorites from my back up onto the new navicore

thanks for any help and i hope this is clear enough

went from 8.010(9369) and 815-2024 maps now running 9053 navicore with 850 2872 uk and ROI maps

  • Ok
    for future refrence only use files from our site , this way we can ensure you get 100% good files ;) also You do not have to delite all files on your device to update it , only in serious cases this is the answer.

  • You are saying your tomtom is now working? so i assume you used the SE 9.053 ttsystem ?? and a 9.053 .cab archive ?? This is the combination you should have used. also i see you are using 850.2872 there i no such map ;) so i assume you mean 850.2782 ??, is there any reason why you did not use the fully featured map 850.2781.

  • Ok to fix the wrong version error you need to do the following
Change lines 9 + 10 in ttgo.bif to read Latest officiall navcore for your device (if you want to know the figures please ask and i will tell you, but i need to know what version of XL you got)

09.ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=????
10.ApplicationVersion=????

3.Save the file as ttgo.bak
4.Reboot your device
5.Connect to tthome and that error should not show up now

  • You have already patchd tomtom home as you can use the "operate my device" emulator, this means you have already patchd tthome, the very basic emulator will continue to remain looking like your old navcore, this has never been updated as of yet.

Copy the mapsettings.cfg file from the old map folder to the new map folder.
If this causes a booting problem, connect your TomTom to TomTom Home and use "operate my Go" to manually add a favorite - you can choose any address you like.
Exit and restart your TomTom which now has a rewritten "mapsettings.cfg" file.
If everything works fine you can delete the newly added "dummy" favorite.

and if you have booting problems after Copying the mapsettings.cfg file, you'll need to do another fix...
just tell us....

All available 850 maps are in the All New Maps 850.XXXX thread. Current speedcams are in the Official TT Speed Cameras 15/07/2010 thread. Instructions are included. These threads are on the General Discussions about TomTom page.

Do you mean one xl (ONE XL 30 series (330) if yes use the numbers below

09.ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8083
10.ApplicationVersion=9669

If those numbers don't work, try

09.ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8010
10.ApplicationVersion=9369

You don't need a keygen to correct the error message.

I have no problem with Fast Activator & Vista 64.
