Yes, I use your 9401 version.

Can you make screenshots on the choice of emulation?
It's a shame not to have them on mine.
Otherwise, despite this, I tested many versions of my One V1 that work very well, almost all the way!
And with a choice of possible emulations!

Cordially.

You try to override the emulation settings by editin the file "reskin" inside the folder "skins".
It is only one line:
slf-Self;slf-Self;37-GO x50;18-GO x20;25-GO x30;24-GO x40
You try to change it to:
24-GO x40;24-GO x40
for example to fix it to theX40 emu.
But if the hardware overrides it the device can hang or show constant reboots, so make a backup of the reskin file first or change the content to
slf-Self;slf-Self
if the other emus won't work (which I'm afraid will be the case).

Thank you for all these explanations, I will test tonight for me!

I will post what works. Thank you again and good luck.

Please be aware that all of this is untested since I could not be aware that this NC actually works on a 32mb model considering there is no "swap file" or "outsourced" stuff included.
TT must have done something different with this NC as usually a V9 SE Navcore is needed on a 32mb device for the swapping of the files that otherwise would block the memory.

I already tried "fiddeling" with the reskin-file and after deleting the "slf-self" parts the skinchooser showed up and actually works!
Do you actually use the Loquendo voices or standard voices as I can't really believe you would have 8mb with computer voices and an active route.

as posted by me:
- just 1 voice installed (none TTS)

The voice is EVA ("recorded voice") and the only voice on my system.
When I add and select an TTS voice the device crashes after a few minutes.

@LeCarpiste
With 9.103, do you have the "Voice preferences"-icon in the preferences-menu?
I have 9.101 running at the moment but there are only 6 pages in the preferences-menu and missing functionality.

The following tests on my one V1:

- Self ok, ram 7.2 mb, running ok, skin chooser absent, no voice.
- X50 ok, ram 2.0 mb, running ok, skin chooser present, voice to extinction!
- X40 ok, ram 1.0 mb, running slow, skin chooser present, voice to extinction!
- X30 ok, ram 2.5 mb, running ok, skin chooser present, no voice.
- X20 ok, ram 2.3 mb, running ok, skin chooser present, no voice.

So by default, it puts us in emulation Self, no other choice!
In "Reskin", I put : 37-GO x50;37-GO x50;18-GO x20;25-GO x30;24-GO x40
Skin chooser running and leaves us the choice of emulation, and it works!

Well, but I prefer the 9.103 version, I think!
Ram 4.6mb, running ok !

@RJ45
Yes I have "Voice preferences"-icon in the preferences-menu.
I have 7 pages in the preferences-menu.

All below 6mb of ram is dangerous.
At least your tests confirm why only the self mode works and all other a cleared.
So for 32mb models it is self anf self only, well at least it works...

I don´t use loquendo or TTS, just recorded spanish voices.
Will work on ONE 3er with no problems?

I had a question Downunder - When I ran your 9.401 navcore on a silver XXL model (530?) I came across some sort of screen calibration. A black screen, with a point that it asked me to tap in four or five places.

How do I find it again in future?
I have come across a few XL models recently with badly calibrated LCDs that I had to spend hours of trial & error changing values in cal.txt to get them working. This auto calibration, if that's what it was, would have been much easier.

Thanks
Joey

@Downunder35m

Regarding my previous post about voices not working with this navcore version, my loquendo_TTS and voices files/folders were installed as per your instructions and were all working under navcore 9400 run on the units internal memory, although I did install your navcore to a 16gb class 10 SDHC card along with my maps. I did manage to get some voices working although the 'Kate & Simon' voices remained silent no matter if I used just your supplied voices or if I overwrote my original folder with yours. I am on bootloader 5.5229 on a TT530 and while I wouldn't have thought that it would make a difference, would it help if I changed to bootloader 5.5256 which you appear to be using? I have patched the official 9401 navcore with DSA and it works without experiencing any problems.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

The bootloader is a small program that loads the operating system (navcore) into the TomTom's memory, when the system is booted and also starts the operating system (navcore).... Each navcore comes with it's own bootloader. Bootloaders are not an issue with the GO series, so for your 530, use the bootloader that is in whichever navcore you install.

Hi. Can some one upload some ware else please, i cant download the NC

Fri Mar 02, 2012 11:49 pm

I'm not uploading to other hoster just to please one or two users, the files are offered for free, if that is not enough please use the official CAB and patch yourself.

@imaswine: It makes no difference if you use a 7530,730 or 720, they are almost identical in terms of the hardware.
The only thing I could think of is that your original voices on the internal memory are interfering.
But if in doubt simply use your working Loquendo folder instead.

@spectrix: this calibration has nothing to do with the TT calibration.
It is used to calibrate the funtions of the skin chooser only and the value from the output are not compatible.

@downunder

I'am sorry, but I think there is someting wrong with your download
When I try to download (with Jdownloader) it don't start on the moment jdownloader says the download will start.
After a few minutes I get a error message. (wrong connection or something like that)
