Most up to date UK map for Navcore 8.010

Postby RoboProd » Tue Aug 28, 2012 1:29 pm

Hi there trying to update my map, which is currently:

CurrentMap=United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland
CurrentMapVersion=880.3868

Can anyone advise what the most up to date map I can download is for the UK?

If you would check the general section before posting, you could notice threads red stick threads for the maps.
In them you also find a chart that tells you what map is compatible with a Navcore and what features are offered.

The map chart, that Downunder referred to, will tell you that there is only 1 UK&ROI 890 map that is compatible with your navcore.

I checked the general section and found this chart but my Navcore isn't listed in the purple section at the top (either that or I am interpreting it wrong) mine is 8.010 but listed in that section is 8.03 and 8.2 etc. no 8.010 that I can see. I know this is probably me being stupid as I've done this before a few times and not had this problem, just to confirm the chart I am looking at is this.

Edit: I can also see it's either the 890.4222 or 890.4234 as these are the only versions with metas.

For your NC the same is true as for for the 8.03, only from 8.2 on it's getting interesting.

Tried 890.4234 using the automatic installer with no luck :( Get the message: You cannot use this map on this device:

Currently trying 895.4444 now.

1. The message is telling you that the map isn't patched. You can confirm this by looking for the .meta.dct file in the map folder.

It ran the auto installer though should that not patch it too?

By design yes, but if for example, you install the map on a SD card, it won't get patched unless there is a copy of the devices ttgo.bif file on the SD card.
Did you see a .meta.dct file in the map folder after the installation was complete?
