No metas after the last 1110 maps for nav2 : end of life !

Wed Aug 23, 2023 12:32 pm

Hello,

It appears that most recent metas 1115 will only be collected from sharing buyers and not furthermore through Tomtom backdoor. :022:

My old Tomtom units with nav2 (Rider v2, Go730, etc) are in perfect condition but won't get new metas anymore : as Tomtom refused for several years to sell new maps for "End of Life" products, Navitotal was the last way till now to keep them alive.

"End of life" now really means end of life. :022:

Not necessarily so don't bin them or stick them on eBay yet.

There is a lot of work going on underground and our techies haven't given up on the EOL NAV2 devices (yet)

Thank you...that's good to hear as we all love our old NAV2's, they are still the best ones

Great news. I really like my old old Tom tom one and use it daily. Thanks in advance for everyone working on trying to keep these alive.

Hello,

In an other post, I've just discovered that my Nav2 units could also use Nav3 maps.

Tonight I have downloaded a brand new 1115 map for Nav3 and it works fine in my good old Go730 NC 9.541.

Missing Nav2 1115 metas won't be a problem anymore. :023:

One thing to remember is to do this you MUST ensure your navcore is 9xxx, for example 9541

There is some other stuff written about this around this forum too
