So many map versions?

So I decided to dig out my old 710 - and spent a day reading the forums. Updated it to the latest Navcore from TomTom Home (7.130) and installed the maps (890.4234) for that version - all working great.

Now I've started fiddling and found a NC 9.170 SE which so I've read will work on my 710. I've installed it and it indeed does seem to run.

My now question - according to the compatibility chart the 9.1xx can run any version of the maps - 890.4217, 4218, 4222 etc etc.

Whats the difference between all the versions? Is there a specific version I should run since they are all compatible, or doesn't it make any difference?

1. Different versions have different features and are compatible with different navcores on the many different TT models. This is clearly shown in the compatibility chart.
2. Select a full featured version.

I failed to mention that different versions have different sizes to accommodate the different size memories in the many TT models.

Ahh ok. Thanks. I've installed 4222 and all seems to be running fine.

Great!!! Thanx for the update.

Where did you get the SE 9.170 navcore. The only one, that I am aware of, is not modded for your 710.
