Lost with a older TomTom One.

Tue Sep 25, 2018 11:18 am

Have some previous experience updating these devices, however this one has got me surprised seeking a solution. Have a bootloader 550022 and later the navcore updated (patched OK). Installed the Benelux map 1015.9104 on the new (Fat32 formatted) SD card and activated with the activator as recommended here. When inserted in the device keep getting the notice: "No Maps found". Wondering what might be the cause. If possible please get me on the right track how to solve this.

The Benelux 1015.9104 map is not compatible with your navcore 8.010

:041: :041: After searching for two days, finally got the right navcore to cope with the various TT Maps I needed to install on the "Marketplace" . Working perfectly. You may close this line, with may thanks, for your assistance. To complete the new bif-file: :eagerness: :023: :023:

My apologies...I thought you were going for the map in the other thread.

NC 9.058 is ok but it would be better to install one of Holyhead's navcores with an inbuilt swap file specially made for 32MB devices like yours.
NC 9.510 is newer & the swap file helps to prevent your device rebooting through lack of RAM which can happen when using fully featured maps.

Follow his instructions here:

Thanks for your info. Have three Maps working on the device perfectly and the justfull owner is happy with them. Btw read your thread, tried it before but to no luck. So I stuck to the working installation. I just stumbled on the 9058 navcore on Usenet, and am happy with it. Thanks anyway. :023:
