lane guidance for tomtom 720

im confuse on how to get the lane guidance for my tomtom 720..i believe i have navcore 8..and just upgraded my map to NA 855.2884.

[TomTomGo]
DeviceName=TomTom GO 720
DeviceVersionHW=GO 720

BootLoaderVersion=55120
LinuxVersion=315187
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8351
ApplicationVersion=9982

do i have to upgrade my navcore to 9 to have lane guidance?

any link on how to upgrade to nav 9?

For ALG: Main Menu, Change preferences. ALG is "ON" if you see an icon that reads "Hide lane images" & has a red & white X in the upper left corner of the icon..
