You can delete one. The"lowbattery"-file. Leave the "lowbatterw".
The same with the files "splash" and "antitheft". You can delete them too. Leave the files "splashw" and "antitheftw".

There is also the directory "TomTom Home install.app" and the file "Install TomTomHome.exe". Delete them too.

Open your new countrymap. Replace all the Cspeech_***.dat files for Dummy's ( 0kb)

ok forget about deliting small files like battery pics ect , you are not following my instructions and doing it wrong you should not have to delite anything as the map you want is designed to fit on your device as it is without removing files, so this is a problem you are doing wrong , start from scratch install the navcore then the map

thanks

With an empty device connect your device to tthome and let that update your navcore (to 9.026) or download and install this .cab [Please Register or Login to download file] then go back to post #8 and use the pre patchd files i done for you, and follow the instructions caerfully that i give you there ;)

Exctract the meta.txt from the meta.rar you find as an attachment in this thread to your keygen folder overwrighting your current one, this is updating your meta manually so there is no need to update through the keygen then ;)

Tue May 25, 2010 8:47 am

Thanks it works now.
But if there is a new directory of 2011, I have exactly the same again?

1, map download
2 old map removal
3 new card in my tomtom up
4, NavCore patching
5, and use the keygen Than

PS: how can I tell what patch I need etc, and what NavCore I then need to be able to use my card.

@ Djc151084

Thanks for all your work, most people will be very happy with you here on the board. Respect for you, keep it up.

Thanks for the kind words :)

When it comes to updating your map again (V8.50 is due out very soon) follow the steps below

1. Download map
2. Remove old map from device
3. Copy new map to device
4. Patch map with Keygen 4.1D
5. Done

No need to patch your navcore again as you are using a patched ttsystem file ;) . but if you want a change of navcore (altho you will not gain anything extra from this ,9.026 is not really old i still use this version) feel free to create a new thread and i will guide you through it.

It works fine for now, i have tested my tomtom and he did great.

Oke than

Last quesstion:

Because of low space on my internal space of my tomtom.
I wanna buy one, with a SD-CARD slot (For beter maps etc). Now is my question:

1. Download map
2. Remove old map from device
3. Copy new map to device
4. Patch map with Keygen 4.1D
5. Done

Are this the same steps i need to follow, to get the newest maps on my tomtom.
But i know i must patch my navcore right?

How can i see, when i must use a new navcore version, and when i must patch it...?
