Hi F.
Well I took it for a test drive & it all works great but doesn't go fastest route.
Is there a way to set for fastest route on the device itself

Also justr noticed a guy with bag on his back & exclamation signs when switching off, is this normal.

Yes, that is to do with the navcore...go through the route planning preferences and you'll soon find the option to always set for the fastest route

Yes, again this is part of the navcore...it's a reminder to take the satnav with you in case it gets stolen from your car.
