Postby xandriesm » Sat Nov 23, 2013 1:25 pm

Hi Guys,

I need help again please. Installed TT Home 2.9 and get this error when connecting my XXL

Removed all reference to TT Home from pc and registry, installed again and patched with FastActivate, still getting the same error.

Thank you.

We don't support Home ;)
Just joking, but why worry about Home, I have not used it in years....

:biggrin-new: I need to get some South African POI's loaded with the new map from you guys. Is there another way to find and load them, then Home will be just a bad past memory

Poi files just need to be copied into the map folder.
There are also quite a few databases for POI's out there.
For example [Please Register or Login to download file] and [Please Register or Login to download file] - Google is my friend ;)
But TT already includes a bunch of POI's into the maps anyway.

If you are referring to POIs that you have loaded, as Downunder said, just copy them from the old map folder to the new map folder.

Downunder35m - If you don't use TT Home, how do you update GPS QuickFix?

Thank you very much! Google was not kind to me, only gave me your first link but not much there. Going to check out your second link now :applause:
Sadly not many poi's included with the Southern_Africa v910.4892 map.

If you don't use Home Quick fix can be obtained by:
a) using the integrated download option in my Navcores - last page on the menu, needs a data connection.
b) by using the quick fix downloader inside the Ephem folder - I only include one for the SIRF chipsets.
d) by using external tools, like the downloader from b) or by using a keygen that includes quick fix updates.

If the device is used on a more or less daily base there should be no need for quick fix updates.
