Help with EasyTools Tutorial

Sat Jun 26, 2010 6:31 pm

Default How to use Easyusetools

1. Download and unpack it ( e.g. with winrar )
2. You will find a folder "insert_meta_in_here"
3. Copy the ***.meta-file of your map folder into this folder #2
4. You will also find a file called "deviceID.txt". Open it and copy the unique deviceID of your tomtom-Version into that file without space. You find your deviceID in the file "ttnavigator.bif" (PDA) or "ttgo.bif" (PNA)
5. You will find a folder "Progs". In this folder is a file called "meta.txt". In this must be written down the blowfish code of your map. Mostly this is already done. So you can ignore this step.
6. Now execute the file "runmefordct.bat". A DOS-Window should open. Read the messages and follow them. (You surely need option 1 twice.)
7. You get an "error" or "success" message.
8. Now in folder "insert_meta_from_here" you will find a new .dct-file. Copy this into your map folder.
9. TomTom-Map should work now.

10. PNA users must copy file "ttsystem" or "PNDNAVIGATOR" also into this folder.

11*. Same way to activate speedcams or TTHOME. Just put the speedcam-files or "TTHOME-.dll" in folder "insert_meta_from_here" & check if the meta.txt is correct.

What does step 10 mean?

Your 930 doesn't use the pndnavigator file, so disregard the reference.
BTW keygen 4.1D is the preferred patching tool.

Step 10 is written wrong, thats why its confusing.
If you have a Go/ONE/XL ( not PDA basically ), you may need to patch they 'navcore file'
if you have done this previously and not changed navcore OR have a 'modded' navcore ( SE or DSA version), you don't need to do this at all

Understand:
some applications/navcores have only 1 file ( ttsystem ) - usually the Go series but some others
others have 2 files ( ttsystem & PNDNAvigator ) - usually ONE & XL models

If you have only ttsystem, copy this file to the ttsystem_patcher folder NOT insert_meta_here as stated above
If you have both, copy ONLY the PNDNavigator file to the ttsystem_patcher folder NOT insert_meta_here as stated above
click on file RunMe.bat in ttsystem_patcherfolder and wait confirmation of patch applied or error
Copy/Replace whichever file you just patched back to root of device or SD card overwriting original unpatched file.

No, it doesn't mean that at all. Keygen 4.1D is an ALL-IN-ONE tool and is much more user friendly.
