Open the 9.053 .cab & compare the files in it to the ones in your screen shot.

SD card with pre-patched navcore + patched map & copy of togo.bif = working card.

Very rarely is formatting necessary. I have never formatted my device or any of my cards.

well, this isn't going well....

formatted (before i read your post) and copied all the navcore and map folder over again.

put card in TT

TT just hangs at the TT logo screen

:(

Have you tried a hard reset? If you open the map folder, do you see 1 folder or a bunch of files?

Sun Jul 04, 2010 9:15 pm

hi, i've reset the TT about 3 times (holding the reset button for 20 seconds), but made no difference.

In fact i've had to use the reset button to get off the frozen splash screen.

in the map folder there are all the .dat files and the map file and all the language ones too

Try a hard reset , but this time also use the tomtom clear flash tool, find a link to it and instructions in my sig, you may need to do it up to 3 times to get a result, if still no luck after that i do reccomend doing a format and not using 9.053, but 9.026 .cab + SE ttsystem instead ;)

A hard reset is 30 seconds.

thanks, but i have no way of connecting the TT to the computer, only using the SD card :(

What do you mean you can not conect to the TT?
Have you tried connecting the TT while still off, than press the reset button and turn the device on- the tt should connect straight away to the PC.
If that does not work you have a serious problem with your device.
